In civilian life, Tom was ultimately promoted to Senior Logistics Analyst at Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company where he managed several departments and performed many responsibilities including the development and implementation of ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
Later he worked for Ultimate Electronics (Sound Track) as their Operations Manager and managed a large Distribution Center where he restructured the operating processes to standardize processes and improve efficiencies. At Win Wholesale, Inc., Tom perfected his World-Class business development skills and at Schlumberger Oil and Gas, he succeeded to improve many storage and distribution programs with prior performance ratings issues.
Tom is a Train the Trainer Program instructor, ISO Certified, Hazardous Materials Certified, OSHA certified, equipment operations and training certified, Supervisor Training and Education Program (STEP) certified. He's authored and co-authored numerous operations training manuals and desk instructions. He has co-produced an extensive CD/DVD for Ultimate Electronics on equipment operations and safety training.
After Tom became ISO 9002 certified, he knew it was time to move his industry to a higher status. The goal is to not only ensure the standardization of the overall quality of the product and warehouse logistical operations but to also include the necessary over-all excellence of the employees at every level.
Tom's debut business book, 'Unlock Your World-Class Potential: Playbook Strategies for Business Operations Excellence' is a reader-friendly, step-by-step process for people starting out in management or people who are in management but strive to move their facility to a higher level of premier performance—World-Class performance and status.
This book takes you through Tom's experiential growth foundation in the arenas of naval sea operations to stateside distribution centers and manufacturing environments, where 'good enough' is doomed to fail.
